A multi-faceted performer with a unique sense of humor, Meyers has been making audiences laugh for years by parodying politicians, discussing the latest headlines and poking fun at celebrity blunders. He is currently the longest tenured SNL cast member, having joined in 2001, and serves as head writer as well as anchor of “Weekend Update.”
Before focusing his attention solely on “Weekend Update,” Meyers was a regular player in sketches, performing numerous characters and impressions, most notably an uncanny portrayal of Senator John Kerry for the show’s satire of the 2004 Presidential election.
Meyers has also lampooned figures such as Michael Caine, Anderson Cooper, Prince Charles, Ryan Seacrest, Sean Penn, Stone Phillips, Tobey Maguire, Peyton Manning, Ty Pennington, Bill Cowher, Brian Williams, Nicollette Sheridan, Wade Robson, Donald Trump, Jr., Tom Cruise, Kevin Federline and many more.
Over the years, he has appeared in several popular films, including See This Movie, Journey to the Center of the Earth, I Don’t Know How She Does It, New Year’s Eve and more. Plus, Meyers has hosted the Webby Awards twice as well as the ESPY Awards, and served as keynote speaker at the White House Correspondents Association Dinner in 2011.
Jost was born and raised in Staten Island, NY. He’s a writing supervisor at SNL, where he’s written since 2005. He was recently featured as a “Breakout Artist” at Caroline’s on Broadway and was president of the Harvard Lampoon. Colin was most recently featured in the 2010 New Faces Showcase at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, and made his late-night television debut on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” earlier this year.
