The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and our project partners are holding an open house to discuss roadway improvements to be made on SW 10th Street from Powerline Road to East Newport Center Drive in Deerfield Beach.
The open house will be held Thursday, June 28, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Broward County Sheriff Office Substation, Community Room, 590 S. Powerline Road, Deerfield Beach, FL 33442
Construction began June 22 and is expected to be completed in early 2013. The cost of these improvements is $2.1 million.
Improvements to be made include:
- Repaving SW 10th Street within the project limits
- Upgrading existing guardrail connections to bridges
- Adding video detection system at traffic signals
- Installing ADA ramps at three signalized intersections
- Adding new signs and improving pavement markings
- Adding bike lanes along SW 10th Street
- Minor landscaping
The meeting will have an informal, open house format. No formal presentation will be made. Project design plans will be on display and staff will be available to discuss the project, answer questions and address individual concerns.
