The 2nd Annual “GILDA’S OFFICE OLYMPICS” was held on Saturday, June 16th from 10am to 1:30pm at Bank Atlantic Center (on the floor of the arena!).   In the spirit of Gilda Radner and SNL -company teams competed for the Gold in a series of hilarious games like Trashcan Basketball, Office Pig Pile, and Don’t Drop the Ball.

This tongue in cheek event began with an Olympics Opening Ceremony. From the national anthem, torch carrier, and medal presentation, the afternoon was full of fun and competition for a great cause. Company teams competed against each other in heats narrowing the field to the top 3 teams who moved onto the finale, which was an Office Chair Relay Race around the arena to determine which team won the GOLD, SILVER, OR BRONZE MEDALS.

“Saveology was really happy to participate in the Office Olympics for Gilda’s Club.  It is a wonderful organization and the team was really excited to show support in such a fun display of competitive spirit.  We had a blast and were thrilled that we pulled off a victory,” said Meredith Jimenez with Saveology, who took home the Gold Medal.

The team from Tripp Scott claimed the Silver Medal while the team NBC 6 was awarded the Bronze Medal.  Additional trophies were awarded to Tripp Scott for Biggest Fan Club, to City County Credit Union for Most Team Spirit and to Arthur Murray Dance Studio for Craziest Costumes.

The event raised $10,000 to support Gilda’s Club to provide support for men, women, and children touched by cancer.

Thanks to GILDA’S OFFICE OLYMPICS Gold Medal Sponsors- Equity One, Genentech, GrayRobinson, and Whisper Travel and to the Finish Line Sponsors – Maroone an AutoNation Company, Tripp Scott, UnitedHealthcare, and UPS.
