Davie hosting green fair Dec. 11

The Town of Davie will be sponsoring a Green Fair on Saturday, December 11 that will provide an exciting opportunity to discover new green products, reduce your carbon footprint and learn to live a healthier lifestyle. In addition to vendors, representatives from the town’s Green Environmental Energy Committee will also be on hand to catch you up on the latest’s ideas and initiatives to make the Town of Davie a greener community. Have an idea of your own? Come and share it, they will be more than happy to take suggestions.

Event: Green Fair

Place: Town of Davie Community Room located at 6591 Orange Drive, Davie, Florida

Date: Saturday, December 11, 2010

Time: 9am – 5pm

Admission and Parking:  The event is free for the public with ample parking

Vendors are still welcome to exhibit with an invitation to participate in the fair’s Green Demo Area. Demonstrate the importance and value of your green product or service to event goers. Vendors wishing to exhibit must complete a vendor’s application. Want to put some green into your green? Take Mayor Judy Paul’s Holiday Challenge.

The challenge is to be the house which best exemplifies the diversity and spirit of Davie during the holiday season with the winner to receive a $100 prize to be paid from the Mayor out of her own pocket.

To participate, please email the Mayor at until December 15. Include your name, address and a request for the Mayor to visit your home to see your display of holiday wonder. Want to make it greener? Use LED lights with decorations made from recycled materials. Instead of throwing them away after the holidays, store them to reuse for next year, donate them to Trash to Treasure for reuse or contact:
