Davie looking community trust non-profit board members

The Town of Davie has an exclusive opportunity for residents to make a true difference in their community. The Town is in the initial phase of creating the Davie Community Chest. The Davie Community Chest is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that will seek to raise funds in innovative ways to provide for annual endowments to local nonprofit organizations based on established criteria. As a Davie Community Chest member, you will help formulate the organization from its inception including the formulation of the organization’s bylaws and charter, criteria for giving, as well as the appointment of a nonprofit director.

If you are a registered voter residing in Davie who is able to volunteer your precious time to this worthy cause and are interested in making a difference in the lives of those less fortunate, please consider serving on the Davie Community Chest.

Only seven members will be appointed to this board, so don’t delay. To apply, you must complete the Advisory Board volunteer form on the Town of Davie webpage, or submit a letter of interest outlining your qualifications to the Town Clerk’s Office no later than Tuesday November 30, 2010.

Letters of Interest should be mailed to:

Russell Muniz

Administrative Services Director/Town Clerk
