Coral Springs hosting candidate forum Oct. 6

The public is encouraged to attend an upcoming Candidate Forum where they will have a chance to hear municipal, Florida Legislature and Broward County School Board District 4 candidates as they engage in a discussion at the Coral Springs Charter School Auditorium on Wednesday, October 6 at 7 p.m.  This free event is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Broward and the City of Coral Springs’ Customer-Involved Government Committee.

The November 2 ballot includes a local commission election, as the Mayor’s seat (Seat 1), and Seats 3 and 4 in Coral Springs are up for reelection.  The Mayor serves a two-year term of office and City Commissioners serve four-year terms of office. The vacancy in Seat 3 is to fill the balance of a four-year term of office, which ends in November 2012.
