Monday, September 20, 2010, 5:00pm – Instrument Petting Zoo presented by United by Music, Inc.

Join us for a fun filled workshop Instrument Petting zoo!  Students from 5 to 14 years of age are welcome.  United by Music, Inc is a non-profit organization designed to provide opportunities for children of Broward County to be educated in music, and to build a lifelong relationship and connection with the arts. Registration is required.

Monday, September 20, 2010, 3:30pm Creative Kids: Back to School Fun

Come to the library and celebrate back to school with a story and then create a pencil holder out of recycled materials.  Registration required.  (Ages 8 and up)

Thursday, September 23, 2010 – Teen Advisory Group Meeting

Join the City of Parkland Teen Advisory Group (TAG) and become a leader in your community and create programs and experiences you would like to see offered in Parkland for teens. This program is free of charge and is offered to students 13-18 years of age. Community service hours are earned for all time spent at meetings and volunteer opportunities will be available. This is a free program. Join us at 7:00 PM at the Parkland City Hall.  More Details

Saturday, September 25, 2010, 10:00 am-1:00 pm – (Pine Trails Park);
Parkland P.L.A.Y Day presented by North Broward Preparatory School

The City of Parkland invites all Parkland residents out to P.L.A.Y Day at Pine Trails Park on September 25, 2010 from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. This event will feature tons of bounce houses, toddler play centers, live entertainment, and old fashioned family fun activities such as potatoes sack races and tug of war. P.L.A.Y Day is open to Parkland children and the adults young at heart! Snacks and drinks will also be available to all those who come out to this Parkland family event! Admission is FREE.

Sunday, September 26, 2010 City of Parkland Senior Dance -Tommy Nehls Band 2:30pm-4:00pm (Aston Gardens)

The City of Parkland is proud to announce the performance of Tommy Nehls at the Parkland Senior Dance.  Join us at Aston Gardens on September 26, 2010 from 2:30 p.m. till 4:00 p.m. for this swinging good time so make sure to bring your dancing shoes.
