Miramar’s NFL Youth Flag Football starting soon

The City of Miramar’s NFL Youth Flag Football League is a non-contact flag football league for boys and girls ages 5-8 that is being offered in partnership with NFL. This league is designed to educate youngsters on the importance of physical activity through football, while emphasizing teamwork, as well as sportsmanship. Players will learn valuable life lessons to help them succeed on and off the field.

There will be two locations with games played at Perry Wellman Field and Miramar Regional Park on Saturday mornings between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Participants can register at Miramar Youth Enrichment Center (7000 Miramar Parkway) Monday thru Saturday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. & Sunset Lakes Community Center (2801 SW 186h Ave.) Monday thru Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Registration begins February 1, 2010 through April 10, 2010. Cost is $35.00 for residents and $42.00 for non-residents. For further information call (954) 602-4780 or (954) 602-4791 or register at www.nflflag.com
