Ft. Laud woman killed in motorcycle crash
A woman was killed Thursday evening when her Harley Davidson motorcycle crashed on U.S. 27 just south of Interstate 75 in Weston .
Broward Sheriff’s Office traffic homicide investigators have identified 54-year-old Patricia Halstead of Fort Lauderdale as the woman who lost her life. Halstead was northbound when she apparently drove off the road and crashed when she attempted to reenter the roadway. It’s unclear what happened to cause her to drive off the road.
Other drivers called 911 at 8:48 p.m after seeing the motorcycle down. Investigators are in the process of determining the cause of the crash.
