Free SAT and ACT Intensive Workshops at Main Library for College-Bound Students

Broward County Main Library’s Youth Services Section will present a series of free SAT & ACT intensive workshops for college-bound students starting October 31, 2009. From October 2009 to April 2010, the library will  offer four workshops for high school sophomores and juniors that will help them prepare for these two important college prep tests.

Each workshop consists of four parts, and all enrollees must attend all four sessions. The sessions consist of a SAT and ACT Information Session; a SAT Practice Test; an ACT Practice Test; and a Practice Test Follow-up and Strategies meeting.

The series, which is presented by Alberto Howe, director of Affordable College Solutions, is sponsored by the Broward Public Library Foundation. Because space is limited, preregistration is required. Students may preregister by calling 954-357-7504. The Main Library is located at 100 South Andrews Avenue in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
