Broward Cultural Division holding community forums on 2020 plan for arts
A Community Forum Meeting will be held both on Wednesday, October 7 and Thursday October 8, in order to gather input from the general public for their vision of the arts and culture over the next ten
years. The October 7 meeting will take place from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the African American Research Library and Cultural Center (AARLC), 2650 W Sistrunk Blvd., Fort Lauderdale; and the October 8 meeting will take place from 6 – 8 p.m., at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts, 2855 Coral Springs Dr, Coral Springs.
In addition to these forums, there are focus group meetings, one-on-one meetings, online surveys and random sample telephone surveys. The end result will be the 2020 Community Cultural Plan which will be the guiding blueprint for the arts and culture over the next ten years.
These Community Forum Meetings will be held in conjunction with a national Creative Conversations agenda – a grassroots movement across the country geared to elevate the profile of arts in America during National Arts & Humanities Month every October.
