Weekend of Peace in Coral Springs

Those who want to participate in a multi-cultural event will have a perfect opportunity to do so at the Weekend of Peace celebration.

A whole series of events have been planned for the weekend of Sep. 18-20 in Coral Springs. On Friday at 7:45 a.m., there will be a traditional International Peace Garden celebration in the International Peace Garden located outside the Coral Springs Museum of Art at 2855 Coral Springs Drive. Children will plant Pinwheels for Peace.

On Saturday, there will be a silent walk for peace inside the International Peace Garden. This short walk will give people a chance to meditate in silence on peace.

Sunday will feature “A Dialogue in Diversity: Pathways to Peace.” This will take place at 2:30 p.m. at the Northwest Regional Library, 3151 North University Drive. It will include a conversation about peace in a talk show format.

The weekend will conclude with “Praying for Peace” a non-denominational gathering to pray for silence in peace. It will take place at 7 p.m. at Royal Palm Christian Church at 9600 Royal Palm Boulevard.

The Weekend of Peace celebration is being organized by the City of Coral Springs Multi-Cultural Advisory Committee and One Planet United.
