For weeks, detectives have been following leads trying to track down the duo that pulled off the daytime theft at the Pawn Max in Lauderdale Lakes after distracting store employees. During the May 16 heist, one of the suspects walked into the store and was looking at the jewelry case, then proceeded to look at other merchandise while texting on his phone.

Moments later, a customer and a pregnant woman walked into the business. The woman distracted the store manager asking questions about the televisions, as another store clerk assisted the male customer. Once the first suspect confirmed that all the employees were busy, he walked over to the jewelry case, lifted the top glass and took the jewelry.

He stuffed two gold and diamond pendants, worth more than $1,500, in his pocket and quickly exited the store. The woman followed him out moments after.
